HE NEVER GETS OUT is possibly why, but Link just naturally assumes most teams have other teams that rank above Delphinus in desire to protect, etc, because that's kind of how he naturally sees himself--LOW RANKING on being thought of first, except by his teammates.
It's not really something that bothers him? It's just kind of... natural. He definitely doesn't think other teams are out to get Del or even that they think of them first as targets, but he'd be really surprised anyone has any feelings beyond neutral. He's also surprised they haven't been flattened by another team yet in popularity games but... that wouldn't bother him in the team-relations either if it happened (aside from all the dying) because he'd chalk it up to luck.
He figures other teams see Del as strong and kind of cold, and other than that they don't have too many feelings about us.
