Like... possibly he doesn't really acknowledge it to himself, but he protects people that seem sort of innocent, so the fact that Roxas still shows a naive side even though he seems to understand weird gray areas means Joker would look out for him (in a retarded sort of way).

Oh alright, but only because I'm generous.

Let me start off by saying that like... ALL my characters are the type to pay attention to what people are saying and then... use their own words against them later XD;; Usually it's just teasing. So Kon started out chatting with Takanari completely for argument's sake... Er, wait, did that change...? Okay, no it probably didn't change that much because KON LIKES ARGUING.

But his opinion of Takanari started off vaguely on the negative side. I mean, Kon finds a lot of stuff to be annoying but that doesn't mean he's completely unreceptive. Kon's curiosity and interest in knowing stuff is a big motivator for him, so finding someone annoying is no problem. The negative thing, sort of ironically, came from Kon's impression that Takanari was jumping to conclusions about Kon's intentions. XD Like... YES, he was definitely playing up being all 'damn, you're annoying' and 'urg, student president' but Kon was never looking down on Takanari specifically, just some of the ideas he was representing (obligation, social pressures). Kon just didn't bother correcting Takanari's initial impression because Kon... thinks it's a waste of time going 'oh, no, I didn't mean any offense.' Because he totally meant to offend, just not personally, but it's a bother getting all specific like that, it should be obvious! (is what he thinks). ANYWAY, what that means is up until around this (http://community.livejournal.com/campfuckudie/4847840.html?thread=1797417440#t1797417440) comment, Kon felt like Takanari was the one being narrow-minded.

But it's a credit to Takanari that he stuck through that and calmed down enough to start listening to what Kon was saying. Uh... It's also a credit to Merry for yelling at Kon so he toned down stuff because he realized it's not that Takanari takes most things personally (which Kon would think is dumb) but that he was taking that specific topic personally (which is alright, since you obviously have issues ((re: school is the only place you felt freedom)).) LIKE... Kon probably still thinks he needs to beat Takanari upside the head with stuff before he'll look at things from a different perspective, but Takanari will at least eventually consider it and concede a point.

IN CONCLUSION. TO SUMMARIZE. Kon thinks Takanari is totally annoying in that he represents a lot of stuff that Kon thinks is kind of stupid and pointless but he doesn't hold it against him. Or... rather... he does hold it against him but he sees it as a point of debate, not like... a reason to dislike him or anything. KON THINKS TAKANARI IS FUN.

There, look at all that work I did. I demand do-backs.

My first reaction: ... ... ... HOLY SHIT.

This is hard to do since Takanari didn't form an opinion of Kon until he flashed him a smile late into the thread. (More in that he understood him rather than having any real thoughts on Kon, ftr.) Takanari honestly wasn't going to judge him without knowing more about Kon, especially since he is such a tricky character, so he just kept listening to Kon and seeing what he had to say.

However, Kon did manage to get a lot of reactions. Takanari gets frustrated and annoyed at people often. It's nothing new if he makes grumpy faces at people, but Kon especially pushed it to the point where Takanari felt the need to lash back which is where the small-minded comment came from. He didn't necessarily mean it, but Takanari just wanted to get Kon off of his back without conceding defeat by leaving. Takanari rarely ever resorts to his old-rapist ways, but Kon pushed him into it.

But Kon did back-off, so Takanari began to settle down and feel more comfortable which is why he shared more about himself. It's a give and take if he wanted to learn more about Kon, which wasn't Takanari's purpose but he knew Kon was making it his. So, Takanari thinks he gets Kon to a degree, but really doesn't dislike or even care all much about how he operates.

In the end, Takanari doesn't have any feelings towards Kon. He know he's going to be hanging around, so Takanari will put up with it as he is pro at that. Not that their conversation wasn't interesting, but Takanari did it mostly with his proper face up so he wasn't talking freely. Basically, Kon just is to Takanari and that's it.

I'MMA BUG YOU SO MUCH. Also Kon has no rape-dar Or if he does he fails to listen to it until it's TOO LATE so it's okay to smack him around a bit if he gets too retarded/nosy. Well it's probably unnecessary now that Takanari gets him more, but y'know, I don't object. (eta: correction, he ignores it when it involves himself, but it is HIGHLY DEVELOPED for keeping others out of trouble.)

But yeah, Kon's not nosy in the 'I need to know everything about you' way, since he rarely talks about himself for the sake of talking about himself (of course he'll use himself to illustrate a point though) so he doesn't really expect other people to do that. It's more... 'what do I need to know to get where you're coming from' way? DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

I WILL MAKE FACES LIKE THIS AT YOU SO MUCH. Except where Takanari was trained to soak up abuse like a sponge. . . As long as he doesn't bow his head, Takanari will take whatever someone throws at him while being a bastard in return.

YEAH, I GET IT. I think Takanari does too which is why he was comfortable talking since he didn't have to like explain how he was in this particular situation of his, just the relevant circumstances.

...Okay no, that was probably the right answer. Devit may not be the most dangerous (especially if Jasdero isn't nearby) but he's definitely the most annoying and probably hard to avoid. Link REALLY DOESN'T LIKE HIM. I mean I guess he was predisposed to that already but then Devit added.... his personality to the mix, and just aohdoshdfsdfj WHY ARE YOU SO OBNOXIOUS?!!!? Uh, I don't think Link particularly feels like his life is like... seriously threatened yet, but at the same time he just... WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING IT MUST BE EVIL.... Also obnoxious.

As for first impressions, Link felt like Max seemed to be unable to say things without being sarcastic and kind of rude. He didn't seem to mind it very much though, in that it didn't feel like it was specifically directed at him, it's just... a general thing? I don't think he got the sense that she was a bad person, so he'd be willing to talk to her again o/

Of the Noah, Ticky is probably the one Link has the most information on in terms of powers and that sort of thing. This... doesn't actually mean much, but it's there. He's automatically wary because of what he knows. However, so far Ticky has been the most polite and well mannered of the Noah he's encountered, which means Link's... very biased and unflattering opinion of the Noahs at least isn't exacerbated?? He hasn't formed much of an opinion on Ticky specifically beyond suspicion and distrust of his fancy-pants facade. Also Link's own level of politeness may change, assuming Ticky has noticed he's with the Black Order. In their first meeting he was avoiding trouble. I'M NOT SURE, WE'D HAVE TO INTERACT MORE.

The camp Noah in general are just plain frustrating because Rabi's made it clear that there's nothing to be done about them, which should be completely unacceptable, but they can't even be captured or anything because the exorcists are pretty outmatched and the Noah are pretty much built to be hard to contain. Even now with Cross in camp this frustration is only vaguely assuaged because HE KEEPS GETTING HASSLED FOR PIE. :/ Filthy Noah, I don't want to give you anything! Link doesn't know very much about the Noah beyond powers and their basic purpose though. He hasn't really considered whether they're human or worth saving the way Allen does. I mean, they're trying to destroy humanity, what's to save??

He finds Kanda to be unnecessarily confrontational. There's no reason he needs to go around making enemies of people who're his allies :|. While Link doesn't quite include himself in this thought (he is aware he is seen as 'outside'), he holds this true because of Kanda's bitching around Allen and Miranda. Kanda's attitude about the Vatican and the dignity of those who wear the rose-cross and represent the Pope also makes Link :| because how can you fight without faith and pride in the organization you're in? Kanda's hard to deal with, though Link finds (so far) that he doesn't lose his patience as quickly with Kanda as he does with Allen. Or more like he's okay with losing patience around Allen but not Kanda...

Okay, Link sort of has two separate opinions about Rabi. His professional opinion and his personal opinion o/. Normally they're not that easy to separate but you have this Bookman/Exorcist dealie going on.

I mean, Link himself has no super-strong opinions on the function of a Bookman, but he has some influences in mind when dealing with it. So like when he first arrived and was all, "I can't take your word for it," it was because... basically Rabi's not THE Bookman. He's still an apprentice, and not just an apprentice he's also using a name other than 'Bookman', and not just using a name other than 'Bookman' but he's also an Exorcist, and not just an Exorcist but a close friend of Allen's. While your word is most likely truthful and accurate, on paper it just looks like there'd neutrality/accuracy issues so verification is necessary. If it had been Bookman, who isn't doing all that espionage style infiltrating the ranks stuff (as much), it would have been fine. Bookman, by not going with an alias, is putting Bookman work first. While that leaves his allegiance to the Order questionable, it also means on paper it's harder to cast doubt on what he says because he's officially a neutral party. /o/ AND THAT'S THE REASONING BEHIND THAT.

Link's personal opinion of Rabi is that he's very annoying :|. What's with those rude nicknames? :|. Stop acting so familiar :/. Quit trying to poke your nose into everything :/ (shh, it's not hypocrisy if it's my primary job). Please be serious :|. Don't tie balloons to my hair :|. You are not a child, please act your age :/. ETC. HE DOESN'T THINK RABI'S A BAD PERSON, JUST REALLY REALLY ANNOYING.

Upon rereading our thread when I was doing thread-archiving, I remembered that there was one thought Link had which was that the advice Ticky gave him about how to handle camp was actually pretty sound and practical. This sort of threw Link internally just because he... figured the Noah are insane and you know... hate humanity and such... so hearing sensible and vaguely helpful things from Ticky was odd for him.
