Who: Link, Allen, Dera, visitors...?
When: Day 75, evening
Where: Apt E
What: Flops
[They have finally gotten Allen tucked comfortably in the bed after getting his shoulder and arm cleaned up and healed by Dellen.
Link is flopping tiredly on the bed as well--just resting his eyes for a moment, of course]

Re: [Day 76, morning]
Mm... I don't expect adjustment to be easy for Walker, but he mustn't push himself too hard to compensate. If he forgets we're all here for him, you best remind him sternly. Keep in mind, I'll have my eye on you as well...
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Note points out a pantry nearby where Book can find dry ingredients like flour, sugar, and seasonings. As expected, a kitchen belonging to a Link with an Allen to feed is rather well stocked.]
[He shakes his head slightly in response to his twin's words]
That's one lesson he's learned especially well. Relying on others... I'm certain I still need work in that area, but I think I can manage it if it's you.
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[Bustling over to the pantry after poking through the refrigerator. He takes a moment to look everything over, perhaps trying to decide what he should make. Something quick and simple should do it. Yes, thinking about cooking definitely helps him not feel quite as self-conscious.]
You won't have to rely on me much if you take things slow for a day or so. Don't you dare say it's unnecessary, either. Goodness, you could hardly stand on your own feet…
[Pulling out some flour and sugar, then returning to the double fridges for milk and eggs.]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
You did expend quite a bit of energy yourself, you know. At the very least I could help with measuring or mixing and the like.
Re: [Day 76, morning]
... Yes, this is true. As much as I'd prefer you focus on getting rest, you're welcome to a few minor tasks if it sees you satisfied. How do you feel about pancakes?
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[picks out some fruit to cut up after the pancakes are made before getting up to come help. It takes a couple attempts to get into a rhythm, what with being used to doing the steps in the same order as Book is used to, but he lets him take charge as needed.]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[It's sort of nice cooking together like this. He'd been fretting over Walker too much to appreciate the sweet melon pie Note had made so long ago. Well, he won't squander this chance.
It takes no time at all for them to sift the flour and sugar for the batter, then whip everything together. Book begins dropping spoonfuls of batter in a heated pan, striving for the perfect pancake. Could be he's also trying to impress his twin a little.]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[Book's pancakes are already infinitely better than canon!Allen's, the one time Note supervised him in making some. No doubt they are perfectly golden.]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Mm. I'll leave that to you. He is your… the other—ah, I'm not certain what to call him, but I believe you know what I mean. Are you two also…?
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Are we also--
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
--That is, of course I do make an effort to get along with him, that is essential, but it isn't anything quite like how either of us feels about Walker... I suppose we're friends?
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Yes, of course. Forgive me for rushing to conclusions, it's simply that… Ah, well, as you've said, these are rather exceptional circumstances. Sometimes however, I do wonder how everyone manages to share so politely. Perhaps I'm too old fashioned, or it could be that I'm the jealous sort, but I could never see myself sharing…
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[TURNING THIS PANCAKE.]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
It took Nova and Walker a long time to reach the point where something like this didn't feel like a threat to what they had... And I didn't want it to be, seeing as Walker cared so much about him and worked very hard to earn his trust. But it's.. easier to be generous, when you're the one waiting.
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
N-No, really, it isn't... I mean, I've always been a little curious, though I know I shouldn't be. It's only—ah—waiting? What are you waiting for?
[... For Nova to drop dead?]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Ah, well, it's no longer necessary for me to wait, but at the time it was... Well, Walker had originally resolved to respect Nova's feelings and had to refuse me. If that were the end of it I.. I'm sure I would have moved on and sought only to look after Walker as a friend, but... I eventually confirmed with him that my feelings were actually returned. I suppose normally in such a situation, he would be forced to choose, but I couldn't ask such a decision of him... So, well... I waited. Either for us to return to our separate worlds or for Nova to feel steady enough that we could share without issue...
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[Trying to find his words]
Mm, I think you've handled it well. I apologize for delving into your business and fussing about harems, especially when you've put a great deal of consideration into your situation… Perhaps I could learn a thing or two from you.
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Though honestly, I would say Walker's heart perhaps has the opposite problem. Once he's won over completely, he will remain that way, so asking him to withhold his true feelings is ultimately an exercise in futility. Still, it was at least four months after I had first confessed to him that we allowed ourselves to be together, once it was confirmed Nova could live with it. All that time between then, he respected Nova's wishes despite mutual feelings toward me.
I'm certain if his heart truly wandered I wouldn't be able to take it at all...
Re: [Day 76, morning]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
A-Ah… Yes, well… You needn't worry. Should I ever fall for a Walker, I only intend use your experience as a rough guideline. I do hope it never becomes necessary, though. Now, eat this before it grows cold.
[Nudging a plate with two fluffy pancakes in Note's direction.]
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[cutting a piece out with a fork, just plain, to have a taste] The pancakes are delicious, Book.
Re: [Day 76, morning]
[Starting on another]
We've enough batter left to finish off Walker's plate, then Nova will have his turn. I hope you'll help me measure out the appropriate amount of sugar.
