But I won't have you going all the way to the public kitchens to cook if you intend to make breakfast for us when we have a perfectly serviceable kitchen right here. Everything has been moved back in so you are free to make use of whatever you like.

Ah, here...? I wouldn't want to disturb Walker's rest. Are you sure it's all right? How is he? And Nova? He was present and I know he... he also cares about Walker a great deal.

It's all right, the kitchen is on the opposite end from the bedroom, it shouldn't be especially bothersome.

And Walker will most likely still be rather worn out when he wakes. It will take some time to adjust to the loss, after all. He still misses it, his Innocence, despite everything...

As for Nova; I believe he'll be fine for now. Some of his emotions have been quite literally done away with at the moment so he isn't as affected as he could be.

[The fridges (there are actually two fairly large ones) have many shelves filled with labeled meats wrapped in waxed paper, as well as a stock of perishable ingredients common in baking, such as eggs and milk and butter. In one of them there's some fruit, but the majority of native fruits and veggies are kept on the dining table when it isn't being used.

Note points out a pantry nearby where Book can find dry ingredients like flour, sugar, and seasonings. As expected, a kitchen belonging to a Link with an Allen to feed is rather well stocked.]

Pancakes sounds like a fine idea. We will have to make a batch with slightly less sugar for Nova, he isn't very fond of sweets. Just a small serving should be enough for him.

[picks out some fruit to cut up after the pancakes are made before getting up to come help. It takes a couple attempts to get into a rhythm, what with being used to doing the steps in the same order as Book is used to, but he lets him take charge as needed.]

He doesn't care for sweets? What a shame. I firmly believe there's nothing a savory cake can't cure.

[It's sort of nice cooking together like this. He'd been fretting over Walker too much to appreciate the sweet melon pie Note had made so long ago. Well, he won't squander this chance.

I can't really say I'm not also the jealous sort... It was simply my circumstances that lead to a change of opinions on certain things. We didn't always share so politely... If anything, I was... ah.. late, and intruding on their relationship, so... Nova and I did clash a few times...

It took Nova and Walker a long time to reach the point where something like this didn't feel like a threat to what they had... And I didn't want it to be, seeing as Walker cared so much about him and worked very hard to earn his trust. But it's.. easier to be generous, when you're the one waiting.
